Answer:
We've seen that very large playlists can have difficulty with the browser itself due to the drag/drop interface that is currently being used. This is particularly evident on slower or older machines.
We recommendation splitting these playlists up, since general rotation playlists rotate between the entire list of general rotation playlists anyway.
